FAQ
Below is a list of frequently asked questions about the Garrett Public Library's list of COVID-19 resources. If you have any further questions that have not been addressed, feel free to contact epattee@gpl.lib.in.us and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
- How do I locate resources on this website?
There are multiple options for locating resources on this website. A search box for keyword searching is located in the top-right corner of the webpage. You can also use Browse Items and/or the Browse Collections links from the navigation bar.
- How do I navigate Browse Collections?
We have organized the list of resources that we have compiled into several different categories depending on the publishing agency. These include International resources, National resources, State resources, and Local resources. Upon clicking Browse Collections, a user can select any of these collections to explore further by following the appropriate link. A list of items in each collection, with a short summary of the item's contents, can be found by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
- How do I navigate Browse Items?
The Browse Items link will list all resources regardless of the collection that they are in. There are multiple ways to search and navigate Browse Items. There are multiple tabs just below the navigation bar titled Browse All, Browse by Tag, and Search Items. Selecting Browse All will bring up a list of all the items in the collection. Browse by Tag allows a user to search through tags assigned to each record; clicking a tag will bring up a list of all the resources that have been tagged with a specific keyword. Finally Search Items will bring up an advanced search option that will allow users to limit search results by keyword, by collection, by type, and by multiple other factors.
- What if I cannot find a resource on the topic that I need?
If the collection lacks a resource on a topic, feel free to contact epattee@gpl.lib.in.us and we will work as fast as we can to fill the gap in our list of resources. We will also respond to your email with a list of the best resources on the topic that we could find.
- What do I do if the link to a resource is broken/outdated/etc.?
The COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly developing situation. That means that information that was valid yesterday may not be valid as soon as the next day. We are trying our best to keep this resource up to date, clear out resources that are no longer being updated, and remove broken links for resources that have been deleted. If there is anything that we missed, though, feel free to contact us at epattee@gpl.lib.in.us and we will correct the issue as quickly as we can.
